Hello friends, the time has come!

The summer 2006 touring saison is (almost) over.

With a stunning performance for an audience of 40.000 cheering visitors in Lithuania we (almost) ended this summer’s tour season…

…Billy Yates is flying back to Nashville today, and i will play with Savannah one more gig on saturday 19th in Zevenaar/NL.

Then the holiday season starts. I will be going to Crete for 16 days, Marcel and Wilma of Savannah will also be there as well as Paul van Vlodrop of 4Wheel Drive. That means long nights with live music, a lot of Ouzo and everything else over there in Crete.

But we will also take this time to prepare the next gig of the Joe Brozio Band in RaboTheatre de Enck in Oirschot near Eindhoven/NL. This gig is meant to be the premiere for the planned theater tour 2007 through Holland. Our program “Riding with Eric” will approximately half consist of pure acoustic songs, even songs i’ve never heard Eric play acoustic. But of course there will also be the good old clackers like Cocaine, Hoochie Coochie Man, White Room, Sunshine of Your love and others.

I’d like to thank all of YOU, who witnessed our concert on Saturday 12th at the Stadtfest Heiligenhaus. You were wonderful, it is fantastic to see so many well known faces in front of the stage. You give us the feeling, that we’re on the right track with this band!

A retrospect of this tourseason 2006 will soon appear on joebrozio.com, adding photos made during our concerts in Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, France, England and Lithuania. If you wanna contribute, please send me your pics, i’ll add them to the homepage.

Unfortunately i had no time left for a beer with you after our show in Heiligenhaus. At that time i had had only three hours of sleep within 38 hours, and after the show i needed to go to Amsterdam immediately, where we took the plane to Lithuania. In total i had played three shows in three different countries for more than 50.000 visitors on that one weekend. I traveled a good 6000 kilometers with car, bus and airplane in three days. Not bad for an old man, eh?

There are big plans for 2007!
I will again travel through Europe with Savannah, we will cut a live DVD with Billy Yates, a US filmcrew will come and shoot a documentary of our tour. And with a little luck, the Joe Brozio Band will also do gigs in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finnland, Iceland and the Faroer Islands. Add to that our theater tour through Holland. And there will also be gigs on Crete next year. Maybe you would like to travel with us! Wouldn’t that be a big adventure, “Riding with the Joe Brozio Band” ?! :)
