On September 29th we played at Der Club in Heiligenhaus/Germany, the place where I grew up. It was a special thrill for me because I was about to meet some old friends of mine, who I had not met for many many years.
And a group of fans from Holland had booked a trip to Heiligenhaus, not only to visit the concert, but also to see the places where I went to school, where I spent my youth and made my first steps into the word of music.
The show was fantastic, although I was still a little bit tired from the medical treatments I had throughout the last months. Der Club has a special atmosphere, very cozy, with professional sound and light equipment. The whole band enjoyed the show very much and we were overwhelmed with the response and the warm feelings of the audience. It was a great pleasure for me to see so many familiar faces, some of them I hadn’t seen in 20 years. Among them were also some musicians with whom I had played in my earlier days. This gig was unique in many ways.
Unfortunately the local press had totally ignored that gig, but nevertheless the venue was packed with people, it couldn’t have been any better.
On Sunday I met with my fans and drove to Kettwig, the place where I was born and where I went to school. We took a walk along the river Ruhr, visited the old town of Kettwig with its romantic antique houses and streets, we had some beers and really enjoyed the day. I feel privileged to have fans like that !!! Thank You for all Your love, friendship and support.
